 The Commercial Parts Specialist (CPS) will work directly with our commercial customers from major accounts to independent commercial business owners with the goal of adding to existing business, while cultivating new commercial business. The CPS will be selling commercial truck parts ranging from replacement parts and accessories such as lighting, tool boxes, drawer packs, electronics, fittings plus full interior van packages including ladders, ladder racks and accessories.

 RESPONSIBILITIES – include but are not limited to:

  • $1,000 Sign on Bonus - half paid upfront remainder paid after 90 days of consecutive employment
  • Answer incoming commercial parts phone calls in a professional manner
  • Research customer needs using FACS, the internet, and vendor resources
  • Respond to all customer inquiries quickly and efficiently using phone, email, and fax
  • Prepare purchase orders and maintain interface with our suppliers to ensure high quality products, expedient delivery and dependable service at optimum pricing
  • Quickly control discrepancies and ensure timely resolutions
  • Ability to use a reporting tool for various required reports and complete administrative tasks as needed
  • Treat each customer like they are your “Only” customer, make them feel important
  • Ask for referrals
  • Keep our customer informed of any delay’s, provide tracking numbers and follow-up “After” arrival to ensure their satisfaction
  • Know your customers and help them project their upcoming needs
  • Maintain Cobalt margins and understand all contract pricing
  • Maintain an excellent relationship with all vendors
  • Utilize all options for shipment when customers have immediate need
  • Work seamlessly with all Cobalt Branches
  • Multi-Task with ease, can handle extremely fast paced and high-pressure environment
  • STRONG ability to prioritize
  • Professional conduct
  • Ability to us Excel, Word, Email, Fax programs, and learn any new software needed
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, independently and as a team
  • Strive to make sales, margins, and profit goals
  • Be a leader and an example to co-workers and other departments


  • 5+ years recent commercial parts sales experience
  • Have been directly responsible for monthly sales of $50,000 or more
  • Selling experience where SOURCING to fill the customers’ needs was common
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Reliable and strong work ethic
